MeTexts is a communication-first platform for sharing messages, media, and connecting with others. Our goal is a safe, family-friendly environment — suitable for different age groups with clear rules and active moderation.

• No violence: Violent content, threats, and graphic depictions are not allowed.
• No illegal activities: Do not use MeTexts to organize, promote, or assist illegal activities.
• Communication-first: The platform is for respectful conversations, collaboration, and community building.

Age Guidance (10+, 16+, 18+)

We provide guidance so families can choose the right content level. Creators should label their content and parents should supervise accounts of younger users.

Creators: whenever you post anything that belongs to 16+ or 18+ categories, use the built-in content label and mark your post appropriately so viewers see a clear age gate.

Community Guidelines

1. Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, or targeted attacks.
2. No violent or graphic content. Depictions of graphic violence or threats are not permitted.
3. No illegal activity. Don’t post or plan illegal acts, share how-to instructions for criminal activity, or facilitate wrongdoing.
4. No sexual content involving minors. Any sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
5. Protect privacy. Don’t share others’ personal data (addresses, ID numbers, private images) without consent.
6. Report harmful content. Use the report button on posts or profiles that break rules.
7. Label sensitive content. If your post contains mature themes (violence, strong language, adult topics), apply the correct tag and age gate.

Privacy & Safety

We prioritize your privacy and data safety. Below are the main points users should know; a full Privacy Policy (legal) should be linked here for detailed terms.

• Data collection: We collect basic profile information and content you post. We store data securely and only for the purposes described in our privacy policy.
• Parental controls: Parents may link and manage child accounts where local law allows. Use parental controls to set age limits and supervised access.
• Safety tools: Block, mute, report, and private-account settings are available to control who can message or view content.
• Third parties: We do not sell personal data. We may use third-party services for hosting and analytics — details are in the Privacy Policy.

Enforcement & Appeals

We combine automated tools and human review to keep MeTexts safe. Actions include warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, and account deletion for severe or repeated violations.

• First offense: Warning and education where appropriate.
• Repeated or severe violation: Temporary suspension or permanent ban.
• Illegal or harmful content: Immediate removal and possible reporting to law enforcement when required by law.

Appeals

If your content was removed or your account penalized, you may submit an appeal. Appeals are reviewed by our moderation team.

How to report content or users

1. Tap the ••• menu on the post or profile > Report.
2. Select the reason (harassment, illegal activity, sexual content involving minors, etc.).
3. Provide any additional info or screenshots (do not share private data in the report unless necessary).
4. We will acknowledge and investigate — urgent threats should be reported to local authorities immediately.

Practical Safety Tips

• Keep your profile private if you are under 18.
• Don’t share sensitive personal information publicly.
• Think twice before meeting online contacts in person — involve a parent or trusted adult.
• Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available.
